G is for Giraffe! 🦒

Giraffes are the tallest animals in the world! Their long necks help them eat leaves from trees that no other animal can reach.

😴 Baby giraffes, called calves, are already taller than most people when they are born! They love to run and play, and they stay close to their moms for safety. Giraffes have purple tongues that are super long—long enough to reach their own ears! Their spots help them blend in with trees so they don’t get spotted by lions.

They have big, kind eyes and long, wobbly legs that help them run really fast when they need to.

Giraffes don’t need much sleep—they only nap for a few minutes at a time! Could you imagine only sleeping for a few minutes? A giraffe is a tall, gentle giant with a super long neck, long legs, and beautiful spots all over its body! 🦒 It is the tallest animal in the world, and its neck helps it reach the highest leaves on trees that other animals can’t get to.

Giraffes have big, kind eyes with long eyelashes that help keep the dust out. Their tongue is super long and even purple! 👅💜 They use it to grab leaves from tall trees and can even lick their own ears—how funny is that? 😆

Even though giraffes look slow and gentle, they can run really fast when they need to! 🏃‍♂️ And even though their neck is long, it only has seven bones—just like a human’s! But theirs are much, much bigger.

Baby giraffes, called calves, are already taller than most people when they are born! 🍼🦒 They love to stay close to their moms and grow up to be graceful, peaceful animals that walk through the savanna like nature’s skyscrapers! 🌳✨
