I is for Iguana! 🦎
Iguanas are cool, scaly lizards that love to climb trees and bask in the sun. They can be green, blue, or even orange, and their long tails help them keep balance when they walk or climb. Iguanas have sharp claws for gripping tree branches and a big flap of skin under their chin called a dewlap, which helps them stay cool.
One of the coolest things about iguanas? They can regrow their tails if they lose them! If a predator tries to grab an iguana by the tail, it can snap off and grow back later! Baby iguanas are tiny, but they grow big—sometimes as long as a guitar! 🎸 They love eating fruits, leaves, and flowers, and they are excellent swimmers too!
An iguana is a cool, scaly lizard with a long tail, sharp claws, and spiky ridges running down its back! 🦎 It looks like a tiny dinosaur and loves to climb trees, bask in the sun, and munch on leaves. 🌿☀️
Iguanas can be green, blue, or even orange, and their rough, bumpy skin helps them blend into their surroundings so they can hide from predators. They have a special extra eye on top of their head—called a parietal eye—that helps them sense danger, even when they’re not looking! 👀
Iguanas are amazing climbers and love to hang out in trees, using their long, strong tails to help them balance. If they ever fall into the water, no problem—they are great swimmers and can hold their breath for a long time! 🏊♂️
Baby iguanas hatch from tiny eggs and are independent from day one! 🥚🐣 They grow up to be gentle, quiet creatures that spend most of their day soaking up the sun and enjoying their leafy meals. Nature’s little tree dragons! 🌴🦎✨
